Meat Processing Tech I and Tech II 

We are looking for a dependable meat processing production worker who is energetic, ready and willing to learn and able to follow directives. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a community-focused Spokane company who has served local restaurants and grocers for over 50 years. Meat production experience beneficial but not required: we provide comprehensive on-the-job training. Tech I would be no prior experience and Tech II would be some experience.

Responsibilities:

Timeliness: Meat processing production begins at 6:30am at Angus Meats. As a team member it is critical that you are on the production floor, with PPE and ready to address the days work load at 6:30am.

Heavy Lifting: At Angus Meats we process large cuts and cases of meat. Qualified applicants will be capable of repetitive heavy lifting of up to 80lbs for extended periods.

HACCP and GMP’s: While there are no certifications required for this position, qualified applicants will learn and embrace practices that are aligned with HACCP and good Manufacturing Processes.

Cross Training: As part of on boarding, our technicians are trained to work in every position on our production floor, prior to settling into a final position. Well-rounded technicians are invaluable to the Angus Meats operations team. Completing this team based training program within your first 90 days is required.

Mechanical Aptitude: Many of our machines require change out to meet the days needs. As a technician you will be required to use basic hand tools and have a basic understanding of how these machines function.

Contributing to the Team Dynamic: Our operations team is just that, a team. Technicians are exposed to a wide variety of personalities and we depended on them to work together to meet the needs of our customer. Production is key and technicians are required to keep a pace that supports the continuous flow of our facility.

Working Autonomously: While Angus Meats subscribe to a team dynamic, there are many daily tasks our technicians perform autonomously. Individuals with a mind for quality and a strong sense of time management will support the continuous flow of our production facility.

Cold exposure: Because we are working with perishable consumer goods, our production floor is kept at a brisk 42⁰F. Technicians dress to be in the cold every day, even during peak summer temperatures.

Extended Hours: Angus Meats is busy during the summer! This means our technicians are frequently required to work beyond their normal scheduled hours during the busy season and occasionally as demand requires extra hours outside of the busy season.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $20.50 per hour

Warehouse & Delivery Driver 

Angus Meats, Inc. is looking for a responsible and reliable Non- CDL Delivery Driver/Warehouse position. The Non-CDL Delivery Driver/Warehouse position is a full-time position which includes working in our warehouse coolers and freezers (inventory and organization) as well as driving our box van or refer truck to deliver orders to our customers throughout the Spokane/CDA area.
**THIS IS A NON-CDL position**

Responsibilities:
Pick and palletize orders
Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
Drive company van or box truck to deliver product to addresses across Airway Heights, Spokane, Post Falls, Liberty Lake, and CDA

Follow pre-specified routes and deliver orders according to a pre-determined time schedule

Collect payments
Nurture the buyer/supplier relationship with our customers using polite and friendly customer service/ Rotate stock for Customers.

Complete driving logs and reports
Follow DOT regulations, safety standards and HAACP Protocol
Help clean and organize warehouse
Receive and put away supplies

Position Requirements:
• MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG TEST/ BACKGROUND CHECK
• Must have a valid Washington/ Idaho driver’s license
• Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver
• Good driving record with no traffic violations (last 3 years)
• Can lift 80-lbs on a regular basis
• Must know how to navigate Spokane/CDA area well, without relying on a map*
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• High school degree OR equivalent
• Able to withstand cold temperatures
• Positive “can-do” attitude
• Aptitude and willingness to learn new things

Skills (preferred)
• Experience in food-service
• Warehouse experience
• Communication and interpersonal skills
