Bold Burger

Can I have that recipe?

By | Bold Burger, Buy local, Holidays, How to, News, Party food, Recipes | No Comments

Doesn’t it feel great when you bring a mouthwatering entrée to a holiday party or serve it at your own house and your friends keep asking for the recipe?

Look no further than our delicious line-up of Bold Burgers (Bold and Blue, Buckaroo, Hickory Smokehouse) to create delicious and unique entrees and appetizers that will make your customer’s dish the envy of the party:

Mini meatballs: Cut each Bold Burger tube in half and then cut each half in half. Roll each piece into a ball. Place meatballs in oven and bake at 350 degrees for 25 min. Coat cooked meatballs with your favorite sauce or glaze or insert skewer or wooden picks in mini meatballs and serve with your favorite dip.

Gourmet flavored meatloaf: Smash three Bold Burger tubes together, form into a loaf, bake in 350 degree oven for 45 min. Brush top with your favorite glaze.

Flavored sliders: Slice Bold Burger tube into thirds. Smash each portion into a thin patty and cook. Place each slider on a mini bun and top with all the fixins. Serve on your favorite holiday platter.

Gourmet lasagna or your favorite casserole: Spice up any lasagna or casserole by crumbling and cooking Bold Burgers in place of ground beef. You are only limited by your culinary creativity (no pressure).

“Hey, what are these ‘tubes’ you’re referring to?” It’s our individually fresh-sealed sections of Bold Burger. Bold Burger is always fresh and never pre-formed!

Who says grilling season is over?

Some say the grilling season is just about over. When summer ends, the BBQ is retired until spring. But there are those (like myself) that feel there is no “end season to grilling.” Why miss out on perfectly grilled juicy burgers, steaks and just about anything else that brings forth that summer flavor all year round? Us die-hards just decide what we will be grilling next.

I’m already getting in the mood to sharpen up on my bratwurst grilling techniques again for Oktoberfest. Preparation is everything. I remember what I did last year, but the question is — what will I do different this year? There are so many fun options to try. I do like simmering our brats in St. Pauli Girl for starters, and then finishing them on the grill for the perfect brown grill marks. Just as the natural casings we use start to crack open and the juices begin to ooze, throw them on a perfectly toasted hoagie bun smothered with sautéed sweet onions. I do play around with mustards for some additional excitement. I also see in my future roasted garlic sausage for Seahawk Sunday football.

Until then, I say — “grill away.”

The year of global flavors

By | Angus Meats, Bold Burger, News, Pub Patty, Savory Choices | No Comments

If you haven’t already noticed, somethin’ different is a brewing at your local grocer and favorite restaurant. It’s a little bit sweet, a little bit spicy, and a whole lotta’ global.

We’re talking about the rise of international inspirations intertwined into our foods. Population shifts towards America becoming an even more ethnically diverse nation plus exposure from social media is making the world a smaller place.

The result is a trend towards more exotic tastes and spicier bites. From curry potato chips to Siracha-doused everything, from hummus (in lieu of mayo) to kimchi-flavored beef jerky, and of course our very own Angus Brands flavor-forward selections — nothing’s off the table.

What are some new flavor combinations that you have tried? Anything crazy? We’d love to hear it!

And while we have your attention – take a gander at our infographic we created with more trends we’re seeing this year.
